The reason i chose this chair by Arne Jacobsen is the simple fact of my appreciation for his simplistic outtake on an organic chair.  The nature inspired curvature as well as the modernistic simplicity really coheres as a unit to form a beautiful chair.  I also chose this chair because of the materials chosen; I myself really like modern furniture that typically only implements wood and metal to create a piece.  All of these factors of Jacobsen's design influenced my decision on choosing a chair.

My chair...Series 7...Arne Jacobsen

Arne Jacobsen is a Danish design who designed in the early to mid part of the 20th century. Durring WWII, Jacobsen fled to Sweden in attempt to flee the German Concentration Camps. While there he was Jacobsen found himself inspired for the organic and lush Scandinavian style. The Series 7 chair was introduced by Jacobsen in the early 1950’s.. The intent of Jacobsen’s design was to create a modern, light, compactable, and simplistic chair. The chair has been known to have cushions, armrests, and even elaborate upholstery.
